FAQ

What does it cost to sponsor a sports club?

There is no fixed market price: the club sets the price of each placement, and the price covers printing. Through Sponsormakker the business pays the club’s price plus a fee of 15%. The club receives the full amount it asks for.

Examples

The examples below show what a programme can look like. They are not actual agreements, and each club sets its own price.

Three clubs in the district
1 banner per club and 1 post a month: NOK 30,000 to the clubs, NOK 34,500 in total
One club
2 banners and shirt backs for 4 teams: NOK 20,000 to the club, NOK 23,000 in total
One cup
Name of the cup and a banner by the pitch: NOK 8,000 to the club, NOK 9,200 in total

What affects the price?

The price depends on how many people see the placement (number of teams and members, matches and training sessions a week, social media followers), how visible it is, and how long the agreement lasts. A banner along the main pitch is more visible than one in a side hall. We check the figures the club reports before we make a proposal.

What goes to Sponsormakker?

The fee is 15% of the sponsorship amount, paid by the business on top. If the business gives NOK 20,000 to a club, the fee is NOK 3,000 and the club receives NOK 20,000. The club pays us nothing.

Can the business deduct the cost?

Read what the Norwegian Tax Administration says about deducting sponsorship.
